The River-Defying Sect was founded with the merging between the four major sects in the Lower Reaches (Blood Stream Sect, Spirit Stream Sect, Profound Stream Sect, and Pill Stream Sect; formed upon Bai Xiaochun's initiative) of the Eastern part of the Heavenspan River. One of the primary objectives of the sect is to march into the Middle Reaches of the Eastern Heavenspan River, and to replace the Sky River Court.
